EGR?
Hey there -- I'm guessing the openings under the hood of my 88 IROC are where the EGR set up used to be. I don't feel comfortable with them (there are three pipes) just open sucking in hot dirty air.. what should I cap them off with or attach them to? Thx

Re: EGR?
This is the Air Injection Reaction (A.I.R) setup. This is an emissions setup that pushes fresh air to your exhaust manifolds at cold startup and to your catalytic converter at operating temperature.

Re: EGR?
Look harder; they are on the exhaust manifolds so if they were leaking they would be blowing hot exhaust gas out ; not sucking it in
Hardware or plumbing supply shop .
Buy two 1/2" NPT pipe caps like this
Unscrew the valves and fit the caps to the thread on the AIR header pipe.
Delete everything else to do with the AIR
