1991 tbi 350 in my rs loosing oil pressure and power

I took my rs out the other day and went for a drive, well on my way back home she started loosing power the way it acted was like the trans was slipping I then looked at the gauges and saw maybe 10 psi oil pressure, I ended up having to drive it the rest of the way home which was 2 miles I got it home it wasn't knocking but it was shaking the car I shut it down and wait till she cooled I check the oil completely full no water in it no gas in it (what I mean as completely full is up to full mark on dipstick) so I start it up and it reads 30 psi so i have let it sit till yesterday start it has 40 psi. What the beck am I dealing with is this a bad cam could it be mains would it be worth it to put a new cam or bearings or be more cost effective to put in a new engine.

I found my culprit it is the alternator it is shorting out internally causing faulty gauge readings I started to hear a tap noise thought it was the engine blowing up but it is coming from my alternator thank God
