92 RS 5 speed no start
Hey guys i have a 92 RS 305 5 speed. When i bought the car it started up fine. As i drove it more and more it started having issues. A week ago the starter motor would turn(so would the engine) and ever since i put it in the garage the starter motor wont even turn. I havent touched it or done anything to it. I already tried jumping the starter enable relay and nothing happened. Can someone walk me through what i need to do here, what to test specifically? When i turn the key nothing happens, i can hear the fuel pump turn on and I CAN HEAR the starter enable relay click, thats it, and the bulb test. Thanks, i need all the help i can get

Re: 92 RS 5 speed no start
Are the connections on the 2 battery cables in good cond , clean and tight ( both batt and engine ends) ?
If so, run a wire from the solenoid terminal (purple wire ) on the starter and touch it on the Batt Pos + terminal.
If the engine cranks over , your problem is with the wiring from Ign switch to starter
Check the clutch safety switch is properly adjusted and working
If engine doesn't crank over ,you have a problem with the starter itself.Remove and have it tested

Re: 92 RS 5 speed no start
I took a volt meter to the purple wire on the solenoid and it was reading 12.5 when the key was turned to the start position. So this means the solenoid must be bad, im gonna drop the starter and put a whole new one in. Ill let you know what happens after i put the new one in.

The car cranks now, but its not firing up. Im trying to get a holdof a test light, i can smell fuel while its cranking, so im leaning towards a spark issue, or timing
