'88 TPI emissions correct removal
What i mean by "correct" is with the ECM continuing to do its job without Check Engine on...its a classic and registered in a Texas non-emissions county (so far). This what i'd like to do and will need TGO's members help. Serious replies are appreciated on this.
So i want to delete the air pump and replace it with the "delete" option pulley - remove the solenoids above the passenger side valve cover - all air tubes -remove the CAT - remove the EGR i hope? - I think i have to keep the o2 sensor right? AND then here's my REAL question.....The Engine light, What custom Mcal , Chip or remap will i need? Who can i get to do this for me? The car is near the end of a 4 year resto so i'm going to have this done right i hope. I'm just not hip on this CHIP remap stuff or i would do it myself. So i'm counting on someone's experienced history on this to help me in the right direction..Thanks again,

I had just gone through and did what your talking about. I removed everything but the o2. You are going to have to keep that. I believe it helps with fuel delivery. Look up tunedperformance on here. He did a great job at doing a custom chip for me. No check engine lights and a real nice idle after the new chip. You car will run without a custom chip not not well. He will also lower fan kick on temp and vats removal and any other upgrade that you have done.

The O2 sensor is a essential part of the engine operation , without it the ECM has no idea how much fuel the engine needs
