305 timing tab
Well as some of u already know I just got the 305 rebuilt and put back in ... I used a different timing cover and a bolt on timing pointer ... Well I got to looking at the old cover and realized 0* base timing in the timing pointer is at 12 o clock on the timing cover whereas 0* on the new pointer is at roughly 1:30 ? Or so .... So I'm wondering how I can fix this problem so I know where my base timing is set at with the least amount of work ? Thanks .. The balancer has 60 degrees of timing marks and I have a timing light and can borrow a timing light with a dial from my dad if needed

Re: 305 timing tab
you could make a new mark on the damper to match the different timing tab -I had to do that with mine when I replaced the original damper with a 305 one I have on hand:i made a dimple with a drill to mark the "new"0*position
