No Spark, Heat ICM Injectors
Well my second no start issue.
First one after replacing ICM, Cap Rotor COil (car siat had hornets nest in the whole area so better safe then sorry
Ran fine sounded better at idle, after first drive and heated up it just died. no stall power still one just wouldnt restart.
Found no spark to anythign great fuel pressure and new pump filter tank too flushed lines
12v to coil so I swapped in original coil. Fired right
2: after a few weeks on tinkering in garage pull out the car warm it up at idle seems fine same thing it dies
so I immediately check coil 12v swap in new one still no spark
I pull the dizzy and ICM I check the Pickup, it has 850ohm.Seems ok must have been fried ICM. SO first time maybe it was my coil since that failed not the icm although I replaced it for good measure now 2time could be the autozone ICM I still have original and a new coil now but leary break again
I am wondering I have a set of south bays to install and injectors are original. Could failed injectors, low ohms be pulling too much load and causeing overheat and current draw to pop ICM/Coils?
I am will replace ICM since under warranty and I have a new coil and do both together. I suspect car will fire up. but hate to be 30min stuck somewhere again.

Re: No Spark, Heat ICM Injectors
Yes
First: I I had new coil old ICM. Car died (fried coil?)
Repair: I replaced ICM (thinking coil was new) but didnt work. SO I put old coil back in ran for few weeks until died
Second: I got new coil tried quick bump on it but no luck. Now I am thinking ICM is fried and maybe old coil from #1 is now too
SO Maybe old COil finally died and new ICM fried it as well as old ICM from first attempt fried otehr coil.
I have new coil and new ICM I will try again
Interesting note as I was trying to get my WB hooked up I have noticed high voltages while running. I might check my alternator maybe it is spiking once warmed up. I think I was seeing 17-18v and I saw some white smoke under like electrical smoke. No fuses blown and cannot trace wonder if bulbs are getting hot or something
