Really want an upgraded head to add to my stock 305 that I can keep all my emissions that has good compression! really thinking on a set of Trick flow super 23's. But not sure on the bigger valves hitting and if I need a tune, heat cross over's gaskets etc..... I am as green as they come and appreciate all the help!!!!!!

 

You need to call up Trick flow and see if the heads will work with a 305. Most of people that wanted more power always started up with a 350 or swapped in a 350. That's why there are a lot of aftermarket cylinder head companies and none of them advertise heads for a 305. Also ask what the max port size and combustion chamber size is the max you can go for good compression and drive ability with your needs.

 

Thanks for the reply...Just doing some home work kinda spending my tax money before it gets here! But I will call them at some point and I'm a new member here and that was my first of many questions. But really wanted hands on answers over someone that just wants me to purchase something from them if you know what I mean.
