Been thinking about selling the engine in my car to fund a ls swap.. what do you guys think a 92 lb9 with 63k miles that will come from my g92 5speed car? It would be a complete drop out with all accessories, wire harnesses, ecu.. The engine is unmodified and very well maintained. I would also have a factory dual cat y pipe for sale

 

a 305 TPI is for a very specific niche market. Perhaps someone who absolutely has to have a 305 vs the 350. It also comes down to your market and the supply of engines. If you try to sell on Ebay then the buyer must add in freight and home delivery is even more expensive so your 305 TPI has an uplift in cost of a $few hundred more. So, if you Ebay it and try to get $400-$500 then the total cost is flirting with local craigslist ads for complete 350's in good shape.

Take a look at the asking prices for 305's and 350's in your area on craigslist and also note how long they have been for sale.

If they don't move within 2 weeks then either they are over-priced or there is no demand in your area.
