piston placement/rod facing
so im about to put my l98 back together and i notice two pistons are backwards. i know one side of the block is forward the other. my block is on the stand upside down and i have all the notches in the pistons facing forward. i noticed that pistons for 3/4 the rods are backwards. meaning if i put the pistons in with the bevel to the crank then the notch faces backwards. also seems that these two pistons have been replaced as the one from no.4 has "1" stamped in it. also have two "7" and no 6.
will it hurt to have the notch face the wrong way? or should i get the rods flipped to the correct orientation?

Re: piston placement/rod facing
they face forward for a reason... same with the rods.. otherwise the bearings will be installed wrong.
take your time and orient them the correctly.
