push rod rubbing rocker cover
I am having trouble figuring out why my push rod is rubbing the very inside edge on my rocker cover/ valve cover i have a stock 305 v8 engine recently rebuilt a year ago and recently have been hearing noise from the number 1 took apart and found that my push rod is rubbing the very edge of my cover. Has anyone every had this issue and if so what to do about it lmk thanks in advance.

Stock rocker covers? Either the head hole(s) was drilled/tapped with some shift, the cover was punched with some shift, or a little of both. Core and machining shift is not that uncommon, but it would have to be a combination of the extreme limits of tolerance, all in the wrong direction, to permit interference like that.
It may be possible to enlarge the cover holes slightly and/or spread the cover so that it mounts as far as possible toward the intake. If this doesn't provide clearance, start looking at the stud and rocker position compared to the adjacent rockers and compared to the valve tip. You might also compare the rocker covers from both sides to see if one is notably different.
