Coolant jackets L98 ?
I have a dumb question. I am swapping out the engine in my 1992 Formula 350 with a bad rod to a 44,000 mile L98 form a 91 Corvette. On the sides of the engine block are bolts that i removed to let the coolant out so I could rotate the engine to remove the oil pan. When removed there was almost a plug like piece that once I pushed on it popped and then coolant flowed out. My question is once I install the engine and refill with coolant will all these "jackets" fill on their own or is there something else I need to do. I appreciate any info or help and as I stated I know it's a dumb question. Thanks!

Not "dumb"; just part of learning.
What you unscrewed, was the drain plugs; what you pushed on was just a built up layer of crud (rust, scale, schmutz, whatever) that had built up behind the drain plug. Perfectly normal.
They will all fill up when you pour anti-freeze and distilled water into the radiator. (and of course, put the drain plugs back in

The crud buildup in the drain hole you pushed out is typical with mileage.
The block will refill fine
