Hi everyone, I would like some inputs before I purchase a cam. The car 91 Z28. L98, 5sp, 4.10 gear. I have a vortec HSR sitting around and trying to find a set a vortec heads (on a budget) I plan on freshening up the motor (just hone, re-ring, bearings) before cam install. I plan on swapping out the valve springs on the vortecs with a kit from alexparts and this should allow .550 lift. Cams I'm considering are LT4 Hot Cam with 1.6 RR, or XFI 268 or maybe XFI280 (think this is marginal and prolly to high strung plus lift is around.540 with 1.5s. Am I in the Ballpark, any and all input is welcome. Thanks in advance. P.S I don't really wanna turn over 6k as the motor is stock bottom end
