Hi.

I have a '88 GTA, 5.7L as a toy/project car and she starts perfectly first time, it actually starts better than my 6 month old regular car. But if I switch off, she won't then start up a 2nd time unless I leave her stood for a day. It doesn't matter if I run her for 10 minutes or 2 hours, it's the same.

When I try to start up 2nd time I get a "cough" as though she's about to start up but then nothing. After that I just get the starter motor.

Any suggestions? I'm fairly new to this kind of car so any help would be much appreciated.

I've been reading a few posts and seen some similar comments however each of them say that when they start their car and leave it running, the engine will die.
I should probably point out that after I start my car first time, it will run indefinitely. It's only if I manually switch off that it then won't start.
