Old AFR 195 heads, valve seals and rocker threads

I just learned that the Felpro valve seals I used are too loose , they are .560" while my old AFR heads require a .530" seal. This may explain the start up smoke.

Also, do the rocker bolts require thread sealant or are they a blind hole?

Most all of the intake studs need sealer. AFR's probably do.

Have you ran into the valve seal issue I'm having also?

The stem size should be 11/32 the head of the guide could be .500, .530 or ?
You would have to measure it.
If you didn't seal the intake studs it will pull oil thru them.
Yes, I forgot to use sealer once.

I realized I never removed them when I rebuilt the heads so I hope they are fine.

I ordered the correct AFR seals from Summitt today. I think this is where I was losing oil. I was using the Felpro .560's
