Air Conditioning on 88 T/A GTA
I have an 88 Trans Am GTA. It runs a stock L98 350 and i would like to get the C/A working. Problem is, the electrical terminals at the front of the pump right on the top of it behind where the belt drives it, has no connector on it, and i cant find a wire dangling loosly in the engine bay with a double connector on it that looks like it should go on the pump anywhere.
From pictures i have seen on line it looks like the wires go back down between the passenger side head and inner fender, but can anyone tell me where it should come from so i know where to look?
Thanks in advance.....
Greg

The connector for the clutch coil shares the same loom as the passenger side injectors. Some other items in that loom are the wires for cold start timer, CTS, IAC, A/C high pressure switch, diverter valve, knock sensor and aux fan switch. The A/C clutch coil wires you are looking for are green and black.

If it needs a re-charge will you be going with R12 or R134a?
I did the R134a conversion on mine a couple of years ago and it's still working well. Give me a shout if you have any questions....
