stupid check time, is it worth it?
So i'm doing a budget build to go in the TA. eddelbrock dual plane preformer, carb not yet purchased. i have a 350 long block out of an 88 suburban, flat tappet, 4 eyebrow pistons. cam/lifter/timing chain upgrade planned...and probably shorty headers/ypipe/muffler.
I found a set of ported and polished heads on CL for "cheap" and i snapped em up.
casting# 3884520
Combustion chambers milled down to 58cc
2.02 Intake Valves 1.60 Exhaust valves
and his valvesprings are aftermarket dual springs and supported a .488 lift 230dur cam
the heads look like they came off a recently running motor as far as i can tell
I did some digging and these are power pack heads from the sixties that flow really well with a port and polish job and i can tell that these have been hogged out, but not as good as vortec or something...i know they're ancient, but hey...ported/polished for cheap eh..
the comp ratio with the eyebrows at 6cc and .051 head gasket is apx 10.5:1...
with a .04 gasket its about 11:1(program math) or 11.9(my math...which is probably wrong)
before these heads showed up on the radar i was just gunna throw a 268/280 .477/480 comp k kit at it and start putting it back together with a gasket kit.
obviously the grind will change with the change because compression will be altered...
now...for the question...
Is this a stupid idea setting this all up or should i just ditch it for another build? especially for a streetable car? I would really like to run pump gas(89-91) and have a powerband that i will actually use.
am i going to run into major detonation problems? i know as a rule 10.5 is usually safe for a higher octane depending on the setup, but i'd like to make sure this wont blow up after throwing all my hard saved money at the motor.
is this going to be something the stock bottom end can handle? ive been looking at google for builds similar to this. I'm pretty sure it will work but i'd like the stupid check to see if im missing anything motor blowing up important.

Those heads don't have the accessory bolt holes needed in these cars.
Doesn't matter how romantic the casting number is, if they don't fit the car.
Sell em and get something else.
Feel free to ask for advice BEFORE buying something, instead of after; makes it ALOT easier to decide wisely.

yeah, it wasnt till way after i found and bought the heads that i remembered that i had an account on here. i dont care about some fancy cast number...i was goo-goo over a port and polish job. for cheaper than the cost of machining... obviously a magnaflux check is in order before i marry these heads completely
BUT!
lol, if its just the accessories...i can make that work. after all the rest of this build..brackets are simple-ish. i can get bracketry to mount off the water pump bolts...or mcgyver my own i suppose...which is cheaper but less lazy.
but thats kindof my option...these or stock. unless i can get assembled ported/bowl vortecs on my budget....and i already know i cant. and i know stock stock can handle the comp K kit I had in mind originally. worst comes to worst i continue the build as previously planned and my day of deriving compression ratio formulas and carefully selecting a head gasket will go to waste.
is there any other reason to not use them over 88 suburban heads? is 58cc heads going to cause detonation problems, and can the stock bottom end keep up to whatever this fuster cluck is going to put out? honestly if i end up around 300 horse i'll be happy, but as a n00b to builds, i have no idea aside from the compression ratio...and some SWAGing at CFM requirements and basic stats, what this thing is going to push out.
