4th gen fuel tank in a 3rd gen?

My 3rd gen suffers from fuel starvation in hard corners when the tank is 1/3 or less (typical right?) My 4th gen doesn't have this issue at all. I can toss it around nearly on "E" with no problem. Can I use a 4th gen tank in my 3rd gen car? The body and shape of the tank look 1/2 way close... A true 1LE 3rd gen tank is way too expensive to consider.

Re: 4th gen fuel tank in a 3rd gen?

The 4th gen tanks fit just fine. 98-02 were from ls1 cars with the 99-02 being plastic. They have no baffles but do have a fuel bucket around pump that supposively stays filled.
The 98 was metal and had baffles.

93-97 i believe were metal but no idea on baffled or not.

My iroc factory tank had fuel starve issues on hard cornering as well with low tank level. I think the 1LE tanks had more baffling and worked better but no idea where to get them.

I love the plastic 4th gen ones as you can drop tank in minutes as the fill neck is rubber hose and is easily moved as you bring tank down. No wrestling neck out
