A/C Restore

I took the A/C off the car a number of years. All the parts are still on hand. I bought a new compressor, couldn't tell you if it works, but it's either new or gently used. Everything else has been in the car, exposed to everything mother nature has.

So I wonder - what needs to be done to get it to work again? Is it just hook it back up, fill with refrigerant, ad go?

It may not get done this year - we'll see. Too much other work to do first. But who knows.

I appreciate any help.

Re: A/C Restore

I'm not an AC tech, but part of it is putting in oil, vacuum out the moisture, see if it holds a vacuum (thus no leaks), then fill with refrig. HTH
