drive train repair question

its a 1991 tpi 305 v8 auto trans so it slams pretty hard entering second gear, just first to second though, also has a few leaks, so i am in the process of replacing bits. this one part however is got me stuck. I BELIEVE its called the slide yolk sleeve, i have attached a picture

that copper colored bit, which seems to be press fit in there. is there any way to remove it, some trick? otherwise you have to take much much more stuff apart, hopefully someone here knows a trick to it..

Hi Greg

I am 99% positive you must remove the tailshaft cover and have the bushing pressed out (and the new one pressed in) on an Arbor press .

haha thanks, I guess thats what I get for trying to sell her

was really hoping there was a special fancy Gm tool, but looks like ill be delving deeper into her guts.
