no start
I have had enough with these headers. I put a new starter in because I was having starting issue, which now I am thinking was heat soak. First start up I never had an issue even now. After car is hot and let to sit it would have trouble starting. Then I decided to put in mini high torque starter and wrap the solenoid now when it really hot out currently 84 and humid it started up just fine ran to get gas came home, let it sit for awhile and it would just click and starter wouldn't engage. I have 12.6 volts to the battery I tried to cool starter down with cold water, tap on starter and still nothing? Please help...

Re: no start
Maybe the wire going from starter to your battery is corroded and not making good connection... try jiggling it on both ends (Starter and battery side)

Re: no start
Well in that case it might be your ecm. I have heard of some peoples computers causing similar issues, just google stuff like "Tpi car wont start agin after driving awhile" And read up until someone more knowledgeable can help you, but sounds like ecm to me.

Hey man I bet your issue is the ICM, sometimes they will create similar issues like your having and the ECM sounds less likely ( Small chance) after I thought about what you described. A new ICM is like $12 and it just sits under the distributer on some models... It could also be your Coil (If you have one)

Re: no start
I just had this issue. Car starts up, drive it, wont start unless I let it sit for a bit. Turned out the be the ICM chip. But the car WOULD turn over, just not run. If it its doing nothing, it could be a heat issue.
Long story short, I had a hood lock and start kill key switch installed back in 1990. If the car was hot, it would not start. Turned out the wire that killed the starter was NOT big enough and it would get hot. I since cut that out the following summer and the issue was resolved. If any wires are getting hot, that will build up resistance and cause current to fail. Maybe the headers are heating the iginition wires?

Re: no start
Sounds like a timing issue to me. My Vortec starter cranks my 350 over fine at 12* initial timing.
