305 tbi no start
Ok so i was going to adjust the ignition timing so i took off the air cleaner, ran the engine till it was at operating temp, shut it off, loosened the distributor clamp just enough to move it with a bit of force so not to go crazy with it. When i went to start it again, it did not start. Just cranks. I also do not hear the fuel pump come on when the key is turned to on. The fuel pump relay does switch though, i do hear that. My question is why on earth would my fuel pump just suddenly die like this? Its like 4 months old, and from the dealer. Not a cheap autozone brand. Could it be because the maf sensor was unplugged when it was running? Im not too familiar with this part of the engine. Any help is much appreciated.
It was working perfectly fine with no studders or anything. It took a few seconds to start when it was cold but thats it. No hesitation when you hit the gas either. Thanks all

Recheck your electrical connections. You may have dislodged something while in close quarters. Check to make sure you have spark. Check the fuel pump fuse in the passenger wheel area. Put 12v to the fuel pump test connector and see if it primes. Once you know your connections are good and that you have spark and fuel you may want to revisit the distributor and determine where the previous position was.

I still have spark. Checked that. And the distributor never moved. I marked it before i loosened it to make sure. And i can hear the fuel pump relay click on when i turn the key so that means its getting 12v to the relay. The fuse is good, also checked that.
