Water and Oil leak ! but from where ?

Hey guys,

I feel like im taking 1 step forward, and 5 steps back with this car at the minute. Its running really nice now so i pulled it out of the garage a bit last night so i could fully open the passenger door to start doing some of the wiring

Thats when i noticed a puddle under the car....damnit ! so i left it running and stuck my head underneath and could see a few drips coming from around the Y pipe area, i switched the car off and jacked it up to have a closer look, and im totally baffled, the coolant is dripping down from the chassis in two unrelated places ! i wipe it off and it reforms and drips again but theres nothing wet around it so i thought, is it coming from inside the car, maybe the heater matrix ? but no the its all dry. i checked the pipes that go into the transmission as thats whats closest with coolant but they were dry, nothing running along the pipes

Heres a couple of pics pointing to where the water seems to be 'seeping' through and then dripping

I will get to the oil leak next..

Did you pull back the carpet in the front passenger area to see if it was the heater core?

I did yeah, bone dry ! I didn't think it would be that as i replaced the heater core about 4 years ago so it should still be like new

I'd try bypassing the heater core at the firewall and see if it continues to leak.

Re: Water and Oil leak ! but from where ?

I think ive sorted it, i nipped up the heater core hoses and ran the car for a while then kept checking underneath and no drips

i deleted all my AC

now i need to move onto the oil leak which seems to be coming from the back of the head at the last head bolt, ive had the header off for access to the bolt but it was solid, so i don't know if i can just clean it all off and apply some sealant around there
