engine mods? Advice please
So I bought my camaro off a guy who did a few things to the motor. (L98 350). Msd ignition, flowmaster exhaust, aluminum headers, bigger cam, and that's all I can think of. Do you think that increased the horsepower a little? A lot? And what else from here should I do to get at least 300 hp? Around 1500-2000 to spend! Posted pics of the car. 1989 iroc z28 350 tpi

Question ?
What gear ratio do you have in your differential and does it have a working Posi (L.S.D)
The reason I ask is because the list of parts you mentioned are some of the first things to replace when trying to reach that 300hp you're looking for.
Assuming the PO actually replaced those parts and without having all the data I going to say your at or very close to the 300 hp mark.
A really good tune would help a lot.
I would start looking at the rear end starting with the questions I asked above.
The car only came with an automatic transmission and if its still stock you will have a 2.77 ratio or with the G92 option it could be a 3.27.
There is no mention of a posi unit so unless it was changed you have a open carrier = no posi.
If you have the 2.77 ratio and a open differential, IMO its time to upgrade the whole thing.
The 2.77 and no posi is KILLING your potential for performance.

You need to verify what you have before you start spending money. That's putting the cart before the horse, heh.

Exactly,
Visually inspecting the inside of the differential is the only way to tell what's in there.
According to the information I am using and if its still stock you have a Borg Warner (9 bolt)rear and could be the 2.77 ratio with a open differential.( just count the bolts on the cover) If so that's what I would replace with at least a 3.45 ratio and add a new posi/L.S.D.
Those two things will change the way the car responds a lot.
For me it was like a night and day difference in a positive way.
If your car will be just a have a little fun every once and a while car with the power you have the 9 bolt might be ok.
But if its going to see a lot of 1/4 mile runs a totally different unit might be necessary.
