Rebuilt starter: ACDelco vs Remy vs Denso

I am looking at a gear reduction starter (circa 96 Corvette LT4), and have several options. Is any rebuilder better than the others? Prices are ACDelco ($93), Remy ($118), Denso ($155). Prices at RockAuto are tighter, after core charge, ranging $151-$161.

If you were buying one with your money, which one would you get?

Thanks to Amazon for a sample picture:

I bought a brand new one from GM years ago, still rocking it 15yrs later.
Recently I bought a used one for 30 bux shipped,It works great
They normally only need new contacts installed if they need rebuilt(they are cheap and its easy to do)

I like new. But that option is more like $300. I'll pay for quality, but 3x really needs justification.

I like new also but these starters are tough. Made by Denso. (at least that's what's on my sticker)

Re: Rebuilt starter: ACDelco vs Remy vs Denso

I have at least three local places that rebuild starters and alternators, one provides parts the last I checked and another is a one guy shop and that's all he does. The latter is very well known in the area. I'll probably never buy one from a parts store again. Should be one or two in your area as well.

Here, typically something like this, but make sure to check out their reputation yourself, this is just an example.
