helping a friend with his car hes had since 1990. 46000 original miles brought the car home from sitting in his garage for 5+ years since it last ran. fuel pump wasnt working. replaced fuel pump, filter. turn key on it primes an holds 47 psi. try to start the car it runs for 3 seconds and dies. you can spray carb. cleaner in intake and it runs as long as you spray it. checked fire it is firing, checked with noid light it is pulsing, ohm the inj. they are all around 19 ohms. no ses light on. oil pressure gauge works. tried unplugging the maf no help.

Your injectors can ohm out fine and still not spray. What you might want to do is pull the fuel rail with the injectors and see if they are spraying, after 5 years sitting they can be clogged big time. Best bet would be to get you a new set of Bosch 3's from Southbay on here and be done with it.
Also, its good that your pressure is holding and it will run while spraying carb cleaner, which tells me that your injectors are getting the signal, just isn't spraying fuel.
PS: 19 ohms is a tad high......IDK

thanks bob for the reply, after checking the plugs just to see if it was maybe flooding somehow. all the plugs were dry not gassed out. so i unhooked the air cleaner and maf, and sprayed half a can of carb. cleaner in there. started it up and kept patting the throttle, it finally picked up and started running all be it a little ruff. let it idle for about thirty minutes and it is starting to clear up and idle better. now the heater core is starting to leak in the floor. it doesnt pay to let one sit up.

As for the heater core leaking............Enjoy that!
Bypass it for now till you get the new core, and replace all the hoses now too! Thread
