153 or 168 tooth flexplate?

I have an 86 lg4 with a cracked flexplate. But I don't know if it has a 153 or 168 tooth wheel. Any way to tell without just counting the teeth?
Thanks

Re: 153 or 168 tooth flexplate?

If your starter has two holes that are lined up straight and parallel to the flexplate, it's a 153 tooth. If one of the starter bolt holes is an inch or so offset, it's a 168 tooth.
