Pull Motor & Leave 5 Speed in Car?

I'm pulling my 350 out of my Iroc and replacing it with a built 355. The car is a 5 speed and I want to just unbolt the bell housing and yank the motor then replace it bolting the bell housing right back up to it. I've done a lot of automatics this way but not a manual trans, has anyone done a manual trans this way?

Yup. I prefer it in fact. Gotta be pretty careful with the pilot while stabbing it back in; other than that, IMO it's the eeeeeeziest way.
