Air temp sensor connected to nothing

I cant seem to find where the other end of the wire connect to. One end is connected to the sensor and the other is just laying by the distributor..

The other end is in the harness on the driver side at the rear of the valve cover. You don't have any engine details so it's hard to be any more specific.
