I was looking around and couldn't find much info. I'm going to try lifting an engine and trans off the ground with a hoist and I need to know how much it weighs. Engine is v8 305 LB9 with intake and exhaust (without accessories), and transmission is a 700R4. I have a 1000 pound limit due to the hoist arm needing to be set at the 1/2 ton length.

 

700 - 750 lbs
