Re: intake stuck

Angled prybar agaist the head will unstick the intake. If the thermostat housing is off, stick the prybar down that hole and lift.

Re: intake stuck

Distributor is out?
All 12 bolts going into the heads are out? (6 per side)

Run a utility knife under the front lip and cut the seal, silicone, right stuff or whatever is sealing the manifold to the front wall.

Like alky posted....

Removed 12 bolts right? 6 on each side.. 2 in front, 2 in center, 2 in rear on each side.
I have seen guys miss 1 or 2 bolts and break the corner off an intake trying to pry it off.

Distributor removed from engine?

If so then it's just stuck with RTV on the china walls, and gaskets. Get you a gap between block and intake at front like Alky said and stick you a prybar or screwdriver there and give the bar a few taps with a hammer.

It will loosen up and when it does it will have this weird sucking/slurping sound from the RTV breaking free.

Re: intake stuck

yes all 12 bolts are off and dizzy out. I will try getting a utility knife in the front and try to cut the seal. Dont know if this help but i dont know the history on the engine. all i know is that there is water in crankcase. i am trying to remove this intake to put on my 305 that i have. also i noticed the 350 intake inner bolt holes are angled differently than the 305. I know i can drill in the angle for the intake but will i need some kind of angled washer since im gonna drill the angle in the intake?

Two different head styles. Old heads, the intake bolts went straight into the heads. Late model style, the intake bolts go straight down. The intakes can be modified but it's always better to get a proper intake.

Sounds like you have everything out to remove the intake. Previous owner probably used Right Stuff to seal it all up. Fantastic stuff. Far superior to silicone (RTV) but a big pain to remove because it seals so well. I use it on my front and rear china walls. Throw away the seals provided in the gasket kit since they always leak.

You're just going to have to keep prying at it. There is no easy way if it's stuck on that well.
