I'm going to delete my smog pump set up on my 89 GTA as soon as the weather permits. Now that it has reached the 25 year old mark and not needing emission inspection in my state. My question to the experienced 3rd gen owners is what if any changes will be required to the ECM ? And what to do with the electrical connection at the smog valve ?

Ill have all the plumbing if anyone would be interested in. New check valves off the header tubes, new crossover formed hose, and a Cardone rebuilt smog pump that don't have a hundred miles on them.

 

Take it all off, put it in a box and save.
install short belt or delete pulley
hide wires behind ac compressor
test drive
park car for the night
Crack open a beer, pound on chest and marvel at your newly acquired man card points.
