help! expert needed. 86 body with 87 350.

Came home parked it, went to fire it up AMD wouldn't fire. Checked for spark. Had nothing. Bought a whole new accel distributor and dropped it in. I believe I have top dead center. Reasons why is because its fire up when I put starting fluid im AMD before I did the distributor I had no spark. So basically went from a spark problem to a fuel problem. Replaced fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump along with fuel filter. I played hell trying to get the fuel pump out I may have the fuel pump in the wrong spot in the tank. Would this keep it from running?

The first thing I would have done, was changed ignition modules in the distributor. If the car cranks and cranks and cranks, but won't fire (provided you can verify fuel flow of course), it's a dead giveaway that you have a bad module.

That was the first thing I replaced. I got nothing out of it so I replace the distributor.

Is the fuel pump priming? KOEO fuel pressure?

Its obvious a new control module comes inside a performance distributor. No point of fixing up a junk distributor.

WOW!

Yep with a reply like that, you will NOT get any help from me.

You need to learn a few things about respect.. Respect goes a long way. No one here is forced to be here or to answer your questions or fix a problem with your car, that you can't figure out.

So any answer you get, you should be thankful for, 1st off.

Then next, when it comes to cars 150 different things can make it not run so the 1st answer you get may very well be the most common thing and something you have already tried. These threads go back and fourth bouncing ideas around and most times the answer is found.

Good luck with throwing more parts and money at it as I don't see your adittude getting you much help from the veterans here or on any forum
