Trying to fit a pre86 carb intake on TBI heads . Looking for a write up with decent pictures or any hints or recommendations from anyone who has done it . Also if anyone has any idea where to find the offset wedge washers I will need .

Re: Slotting carb intake on TBI heads

I know this is an old thread, BUT, Everywhere wants $120 for 4 washers and bolts. I call BS! You are turfing your TBI manifold, right? I slotted my carb weiand manifold , then cut the sections where the 4 middle bolts are outta my TBI manifold, grabbed 4 bolts that were 1/2 inch longer and used those 4 pieces for my bevelled washers. Perfect angle: Go figure. Cost: 4 bolts from my bolt bin and a little time.

That'll work BruceD64!

Or the wedges sofakingdom linked to. More than one way to get it done.
