A neighbor called the cops on me after this and I almost got arrested. Tried to deny it but he felt the tires and when I opened the door to pop my hood smoke rolled out like a cheech and chong movie and I don't have tabs or insurance on the car so I could not say I was driving it and just got home. Going to rev my motor every morning as I go past there house on my way back home from work. The car short shifted due to my throttle valve cable not being hooked up and I let off in 3rd gear. Car is going to be pretty quick once I get some 3.73 gears and a stall converter

I barley know her ex husband and so she hates me LOL. She has called the cops on a few of my neighbors for different things cuz we are friends with her ex.

 

Its hard to tell form the picture but it is 4 properties long and I let off. This motor only shifts at 5,500 RPM and has 2.73 gears. Its a torque monster.

 

So you were acting foolishly in car with no registration or insurance? Who can blame her for calling the police?

 

She dose not know it is not insured or has tabs. I have tabs there just not on the car yet. She did not call cuz she was concerned, she called because I know her ex husband and she hates all his friends. I have never met her though. She is in her early 20 its not like some old lady called that was being snobby. She is a vindictive person.

 

It was in front of my house. Not like I was thrashing around town. I just got the motor built and have not even taken it to get its first tank of gas. This is the most I have drove it so far besides one spin around the block a few weeks ago. I backed out of my drive way. backed up a few houses, did a burn out and parked the car back in my drove way.

 

I would make sure she heard my car every morning now!

 

i think she called the cops because someone stole the other side of your burnout. jk

"No Mr. ossifer, it wasn't me" I'm sure he almost believed you. Reckless driving, no registration, no insurance. Then you lie to the cop instead of just admitting you were wrong and an apology. Consider yourself lucky, and marked for the future.

 

Don't ride by there revving your engine its aggrevating. Kids up my road do it just because they see my monte carlo and firebird under my car shed and I guess they must want to race or something in their loud 4x4 trucks. Next time that cop may not give you a break and at the end of the day if the young lady is an @$$hole she will still be an @$$hole so whats the point?

 

hey i like to have fun too, but you gotta find back roads to play safely. people with kids can get very upset about people flying around. we have grand kids here, and when people fly down my road i block it off and stand out there with my compound bow. they get the message.

There was no one out side but my friends and my car probably never got going mover 30. When I get my big block built and installed in my turck I making the front of there house my new parking spot. Its gong to be running on alcohol, have about 260* duration at 0.050 and header mount mufflers for an exhaust. They call the cops a lot on my neighbors for dumb stuff. You must be very young and not been toned down yet but trust me.. it will happen. Where I grew up they would call your bluff real quick. Best thing is to try get along with folks you will get further in life like that chief.

Im 31 this is like car #25 and all I have on my record is 2 speeding tickets. This is now on my record too but I did not get a ticket for it. Immature or not I am going to make sure she hates me by the end of the year. The 2 houses next to hers, 2 on one side of mine and one on the other side of mine are all friends. Her house use to be friends with us tell she cheated on her husband and started being a cop caller. This is boyfriend #2 in the last 3 months. About the time she started dating boyfriend #2 is about the time she started calling the cops on people. Is it legal to do burnouts in my driveway?

Dude you gotta realize that regardless of the person who called the cops on you that the majority of people will call the cops on some guy ripping it up down their subdivision's street. wrong place, wrong time. And now you're talking about revving engines in front of the house in question and being an all-around jerk. Did you post this because you thought it was cool? it's not.

 

Considering its a narrow residential street with cars parked on both sides, I would have called the cops too. Not the place for showboating and a little slip up could put you into a parked car or worse. Not cool.

As for the tv cable, careful with that you'll burn the trans up.

I hate these damn diesel farm trucks covered in LEDs lifted and blowing smoke always trying to race me. Go race a damn horse or something that cares.

I'd say you're lucky too. Cops get called here if it even looks like you're going over 20 (or sounds like it) and they aren't lenient at all. Still no tickets on my record

 

 

Grow up, have a few kids and watch them riding their bikes down the road while some idiot is speeding through your neighborhood. You will have a totally different outlook on the situation. It was a very sobering moment for me.

While we'd love to ticket and tow an idiot driving to endanger, especially without a valid registration, you cannot due so based on the statement of a caller.

Even if he did witness you, it's would be a summons not an arrest.

I don't know that this thread has any tech value. A few feet of one-wheel-peel could have been achieved with an Iron duke so you can't possibly be bragging about how much power you're making. Maybe this should go in the street racing forum.

Ya cuz doing a burnout in front of my house is allsorts of dangerous right? Ya I understand children could be out playing and I would not have done it if there were. Seriously no one was out side. Ya the cops told me who called. They told me it was my neighbor across the street and I am friends or know all of them but her. We all have hot rods and wrench on cars together. My neighbor next to me built most of the cars on our block he is the neighbor hood mechanic. He builds hot rods for a living so I am not the first one to do a burn out on this road. I got up to about 30 and backed off not like I was flying buy at 80. And as far as power goes I was only full throttle for about the first 5 feet. I started backing off because my transmission is not shifting when it is suppose to due to me not having my TV cable hooked up and I was afraid of hurting my new motor. Honestly I think she called because she don't like her exes friends not because of a concern.

 

I realty don't see the harm in a burn out. She don't call the cops on the people who come flying buy at 40 on our road.
