Coolant leak.. again

Been loosing coolant for some time. Usually takes a cup in the morning. What happens is, it never likes to leak with the car running I cannot find it. Usually after driving and sitting there. And most components of the coolant system has been replaced. I have no idea where this could be coming fromName: 20150324_153229_zpszaqckymp.jpg

Try looping the lines to the heater to remove that part of the cooling system. Looks like it might be coming from there but you say it doesn't leak when running?

I very recently had the heater core replaced, but I don't believe it leaks anymore. I can't see any leaks when hot. I had no clues from above either

Was reading up. Could that possibly be a freeze plug location?

There is a freeze plug right next to the starter. The knock sensor screws into the block drain or fan switch is another possibility on that side.

Re: Coolant leak.. again

There are so many things that could cause a leak to drip in that general area , back of intake manifold gaskets , freeze plugs , heater hoses (I know you said the heater core is new , although new is never proof alone that a part is perfectly working) , just to name a few , I'd get a radiator pressure tester and in a real quiet spot I'd pump the cooling system up to 15 PSI and chase the gurgling sound . The leak will be right where the gurgling/hissing is the loudest ....

Re: Coolant leak.. again

Ran the pressure tester and found a minor gasket leak and a freeze plug leaking. I changed the gasket but I will keep adding coolant for the freeze plug for now.. Thanks everyone!

I have the same problem with my car. How could you tell of the freeze plug is bad?
