Parts Catalog for 3rd Gen

Does anyone know of a good parts catalog for ThirdGen or software you can purchase? I've seen software for my BMW where you can zoom and get detailed BMW/GM part numbers and then cross reference?

I would also like to take recommendations on a couple of good, reliable part vendors?

I'm new at this and restoring my 88 firebird.

Re: Parts Catalog for 3rd Gen

This book is awesome, and a huge resource, but it is not complete, it doesn't show the part groups. For example, I am looking for a steering colum cancel cam. It gives the part group of 2.896 with no part number, so you have to look up the parts group, but the book doesn't have those pages. Does anyone have these pages?

Neither book (camaro or firebird) has the part numbers listed for the column exploded view. However the part numbers are as follows...

w/ tilt 7812051
w/o tilt 7812136
w/ tilt STRG COL 7843573
w/o tilt STRG COL 7843899

Re: Parts Catalog for 3rd Gen

I found and ordered the GM Parts Manual for my '83 from a supplier on ebay.
The same book that the "stealership" used back in the day.. Parts Numbers/Diagrams, and factory add-on packages. Very cool and useful.
I got the 1982-84 book; but there are other specific years. I paid $65 with shipping, but to me, it was a worthwhile investment.

Re: Parts Catalog for 3rd Gen

I've still got the hard copy, what pages are missing? This was done through a professional level Xerox scanner so it should all be there. If I remember correctly the really thin pages did cause one or two jams during the process, but it was easy to tell where it stopped from the mangled sheet that got stuck.

Let me know and I'll take a look
