I have an '89 firebird. The headlights go up perfectly every time. problem is, they never come down. I always have to pop the hood and put 'em down manually. I have a Chilton book coming in the mail, but would like some input from others. Please only respond if you know what you're talking about.

If that doesn't work, confirm the mechanical failure in the motor.
