Port my trickflow 175's???

Hey guys I'm kinda at a crossroad and would like some input, currently I've got the trickflow 175 heads with 1.94/1.5 valves on my 355 and am wondering if it would worth it to have them fully ported or go with another bigger set, like 195's?? If I go with new I'll most likely get bare castings and go from there but what would you guys recommend? Thanks for your time guys and have fun!!

Going to depend on that casting and how much material is left to port. There may be some room to do mild work and clean up and ability to cut for a 2.00-2.02 or so valve. Wont know til someone looks at it. Figure a good port job plus valve work and components is gonna cost 600-1000$. All depends on the person doing the work. So it may make more sense to just sell and buy new.

Also depends on how much power you want to make and how high rpm you want to turn

Hey thanks for the input! Yeah I was thinking it probably be a better idea to just sell the heads I've got and go with new ones. I'm kind of leaning towards the Dart Pro 1 200cc heads I'll be spinning to about 6300 rpm, and I'll be putting in a new cam and 1.6 rollers too. Going with either comp cam xr294hr or 292xfi

Those cams with a 200cc head will likely want to go to 7000 lol. Those are pretty big cams

Re: Port my trickflow 175's???

I run Brodix IK 200cc heads on a 355 with a solid flat tappet 249/252@.050" .570"/.579" lift, 106 LSA cam and Make peak power at 7200 rpm

I think you would be better off selling the 175's and buying 190-200cc heads.
Brodix, Dart, pro-filers and of course AFR are all real good

Re: Port my trickflow 175's???

Im getting my TF 175's bowl work and 5 angle valve job in the next week. I basically have a similar setup to you except I have a Superram. I expect to get into the high 11's with my new setup. What is your goal that you are trying to reach and what e/t's does it do with the current setup?

Some afr 195s are a good choice for cams in that range
