Idle problems
91 camaro rs v6 automatic
Car started to idle high around 5000, found several bad hoses and replaced them and brought it down to 4000. New plugs, wires, cap and rotor and a new iac valve, reset ecm and started just fine idle good but then slowly got higher and higher raised 200 rpms every 5 seconds til back to 4000, when shift into drive rpms drop to about 2000 but shot back up to 4000 in park or neutral, sprayed starting fluid around hoses and throttle body, no signs of any more vacuum leaks, any ideas?

Re: Idle problems
It never hurts to check the timing. I would set it to the stock setting.
I looked on line and 10* BTDC is stock for all 2.8L and 3.1L engines.
( EST wire disconnected and engine at operating temperature )
