About 3 years ago my dad had bought this car. Not long after he was diagnosed with cancer. This past February he lost his battle. He loved these iroc had 5 total all were being restored. He had willed 1 to each of his children and wife. I'm at the point now I want to start rebuilding this car in his honor and that's what he wanted to us to do.
Here is my issues. When I start the car its fine but the second I give it throttle it will start smoking a lot. Could it be bad fuel that's making it smoke? That fuel has been in there for over 3 years maybe closer to 4 now. Also the oil pressure gauge gets pegged what would cause that? Any help I'd appreciate it.

You're going to need to give us some more details like what color smoke, white, blue, black? Each will have a different source. Oil pressure sending unit could be the wrong one or could be dead, have you checked the oil? Changed it? If you are worried about the gas it's easy enough to empty the tank using the electric fuel pump - pump it into a gas can and run it through your mower if it's suspect, fill the car with fresh.

Thanks sorry to hear about you losing your father. It's a white smoke that comes out. Thats what's confusing me.
