Hi Guys,
I'm searching for really basic infos about the inner workings of our cars (My background is a technical one but nothing todo with cars
)
I'm talking about stuff like: (the more V8/3rd Gen centered the better)
-Basic Motor architecture
-Cams
-Crank Shafts
-EGR Operation
-Cylinder / Piston Types
-TPI/TBI/Carb
-etc etc etc
I have read through a LOT of the forums during the past year and learned a lof from friends of mine while working on my car (two of them are really good mechanics themselves and taught me as much as possible^^) but I'm still sometimes missing the "bigger" picture and want to learn more
Would be grateful for any infos
These were the ones I found mentioned in other threads:
How to Rebuild Your Small-Block Chevy by David Vizard
The Chevrolet Small-Block Bible: How to Choose, Buy and Build the Ultimate Small-Block from Generation I to Today's LS (Motorbooks Workshop) by Thomas J. Madigan
