Length of pushrods
Just wondering if anyone can help me out with proper length of pushrods, I'm trying to get all components that I will need on paper for my rebuil..so far I'm fixed on the zz9 cam with Afr 195cc 1038 heads with 1.6 rockers, so the question that I have would be about the proper length for pushrods? I have a 1990 iron 5.7L tpi automatic. Thanks in advance

Re: Length of pushrods
Not one single person on here can tell you for sure what length you need.
The only way to know for sure is to measure. Do not buy pushrods until you have the long block built. Then using a checking pushrod and calipers, measure for your setup.
As an example... I went from 462 iron heads. mild hyd. flat tappet cam, steel roller tip rockers to Brodix alum. heads, big mech. flat tappet cam, alum. full roller rockers and ended up needing 8.05" pushrods (.250" longer)... Same head gaskets, same block
