Can 350 from a 92 z28 bolt into my 87 z28 305 carb?
Can 350 from a 92 z28 bolt into my 87 z28 305 carb?
I just recently bought an 87 Z28. It's pretty much not running well right now as coolant keeps leaking from somewhere (replaced water neck BC I was told that was the problem but nope). It seems to be leaking near carb. Anyway, though, my girlfriends dad wants to sell me his 350 that he pulled and rebuilt from a 92 z28. Is it just as simple as bolting and connecting everything in, or more complicated? Would love the help! This is my first Camaro.

It all depends on the induction system.
As far as the engine bolting in.. Yeah, no prob. In fact any '57-02 gen I small block will bolt right up.
The issue lays in the induction system really. If the '92 Z28 350 still has it's tune port injection intake/fuel injection then you would need the correct engine wiring harness, computer, fuel pump, etc (which your '87 does not have)
But if the '92 already has a carb on it, or you want to swap your '87's intake and carb over onto it, then yes it will all bolt right up and hook up just the same as yours now
