Ummm... so he has a Gm good wrench 350? He's swapping engines? What year is the 350? Are you sure the engine he is pulling out is a tbi? Please take a few extra seconds and proof read before you post questions like this.

Yes the 350 he is pulling is tbi while the BF Good Wrench is carb he just wants to swap them after installing the good wrench not sure of the year of the new motor

TBI engines all had the oddball 87-up intake bolt pattern. The GM Goodwrench/Targetmaster universal replacement 350 has heads that have the earlier "6-in-a-row" 86-down intake bolt pattern. Won't bolt up directly, but it can be done with some modification to the intake. Or just buy an 86-down carb intake (Edlebrock Performer with EGR) and put an adapter on it for the TBI unit.
I did one of these a ways back. Bought the 350 replacement engine, yanked the near-worthless -993 head that come on it and swapped the 350 TBI heads onto the long block just so I didn't have to futz around with the intake difference. The TBI heads were still in good shape otherwise it wouldn't have been a good solution.
You might ask "why didn't you just buy a short block?". Honestly, the long block costs LESS than the short block. No idea why, but at the time it did (probably still does). I even sold the -993 heads and their valvetrain gear and netted another $50 off the cost of the swap.
