I tried everything to get the headlight gear out of the headlight motor, something seems to be holding it in. I looked online at a few videos but all show them just taking it out. Any tips? I'm stumped and here is a pic of what I can't get out.

If anybody out there had this problem let me know asap cause I'm sitting here cursing at it

 

I may be wrong, since it's been a handful of years since I rebuilt mine, but I had to take the motor off the gearbox housing for one side... I think. It doesn't make much sense that would be holding it up, but I remember doing it for some reason.

 

I figured it out, I put a crowbar on the nut and gave it a good wack it came off
