Best Crossfire Mods
Best Crossfire Mods
Hey guys this is for all you Crossfire experts out there, just got a 83 z28 with the crossfire 305, everything is there and it runs pretty decent. I am in the process of making sure there is no vacuum leaks but what i was wondering what the best upgrades to add it is. Not looking for the highest performing parts but an increase would be nice. Im looking to see what the best replacement injectors, heads, cams, and such would be. Im keeping the crossfire so i dont want to hear anything about how the best upgrade is an engine swap. Any advice would be perfect!

Re: Best Crossfire Mods
First, fix everything you normally would automotively and make sure there are no vacuum leaks. Especially check the bolts on the intake manifold top plate and TBs. It sounds crazy, but just do it!
After that - exhaust, exhaust, exhaust! If you can score the 2.25" exhaust manifolds and Y-pipe from a TPI or L69 car for cheap, you are good to go. An N10 dual cat system, even better!
Personally, if I had it to do all over again with my Crossfire, that's what I would have done, versus paying all that money for a custom bent system.
