Head swap TBI intake question

I've got a 92 rs 305 that I'm putting on l30 Vortec heads with the intake on from a 98 g10 van. What type of spacer/adapter plate do I need to install my tbi on it?

Re: Head swap TBI intake question

Um.... what did the van motor intake have on it to begin with? I know there's a few of those "vortec" van motors that were TBI to begin with. Not sure if that's you, though.

Pic?

Re: Head swap TBI intake question

If the van were TBI originally, an adapter should not be required for it's intake and your TB.

If the van had the CPI intake with 8 poppet injectors, you must use it as a port injected intake, as severe fuel puddling would occur with your TB/ injectors.
