Replaced 3 computers and car still won't run right
I have an 82, but, the guy I bought the car from put a 5.7 tpi in it. Ran good for awhile. One day I went to start the car and nothing happened. Didn't hear fuel pump so I replaced that first. Still nothing. Smacked computer and car started up. Replaced it with one from the junk yard and it ran for a year then same thing happened. So i tired 1 more used one and 2 weeks later it did the same thing. So I bought a reman and car still would not start. After awhile it finally started up. I drove it down the road and it stalled out. Had to sit for awhile to get it started back up. Does this sound like an EPROM issue or something else? I can get the eprom fixed at the parts store in town, they send it on somewhere to get fixed. It costs $110. Just want to make sure that's a good start to find out what the problem is. Also noticed that just before the car would stall out, the radio would power off then come back on. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, have you verified that all your grounds are intact and have a good connection? There's some all over but check the heads in the back of the engine. Also make sure the positive cable has good non-corroded, tightened contact at both the battery and the starter.

Since the ECM doesn't control the radio, I'd rule out the ECM.
"The simplest explanation that fits all the facts is usually the right one". One corollary to that truism being, that if a proposed "explanation" doesn't fit all the facts, emphasis on ALL, it's probably NOT the right one. Which of course would illuminate why after 3 identical actions without a result, one can assume that the action in question probably isn't directed toward the actual problem.
See the popular definition of insanity: doing the same thing but expecting different results. I'm not getting the feeling that you're insane, so it's time to quit doing that and do something else instead.
I'd be checking battery cables and connections if I were working on it.

Replace the fusible links by the starter if connections are good everywhere else.

Good suggestion: the fusible links are actually part of the "battery cable" system in a way, since they are the wires that connect THE ENTIRE CAR to the battery. A broken / intermittent one of those, or a bad connection where it hooks to the solenoid post (loose nut for example) or to its big red wire, will have the same effect as a bad connection at the battery.

Re: Replaced 3 computers and car still won't run right
I always have the rotor facing cup 1 which I can't remember if that's drivers or pass side atm since I haven't touched it in a month. I try to find tdc of cyl 1 and back it off 12* because it wants 12*btdc. Trying it at 0 doesn't help either. Anyhow drop dizzy in route wires. Cap facing 1 and try to start it
