question for the mustang guys
hey guys a buddy of mine is lookin at an 82 capri. the guy that has it says it is a cobrajet 335 with aluminum heads factor headers and TBI?? my main question is about the TBI, was there ever such a thing? thanks for the replies
Boosheet!!! 335 CobraJet? LOL HAHAHAHA Try 428 CobraJet. 335 isn't a factory motor size. 289, 302, 351Windsor, 351Cleveland, 390,406, 427, 428, 428CJ, 429, and 460. I think there's another size before and after but I forget offhand. And Ford didn't use mass production fuel injection until 87. Before that, there was a couple special runs in like 84 and 85, but they've basically always used their MPFI system that is somewhat similar to our TPI.

Boy, thats a rare one! Its a Jim Bob one off backyard special! Get it now!

I'm not even sure the 302 was offered in 82. I'm thinking it was a 255. Actually I just looked, 82 was the first year the 302 came back to the Mustang/Capri. Anything bigger than that is a swap, and seeing as how theres no 335.... Must be some Jim Bob special. The smallest that would come close to that is a 351CJ. Its probably just a 302 under the hood.
