So I thought this was a general GM forum, just figured out this is for cameros. But since I registered already thought I would ask:

I just bought a 1983 gmc k2500 with a new 350, rebuilt tranny, all it needs is a new starter. Truck runs great, drove about 30 miles home with no issues but when I got to my house it would die when I stop but then start right back up. I thought vapor lock since it was almost 100 yesterday but I always thought vapor lock would take a while to start back up? Not sure what I should be looking at for a fix? Was gonna try & adjust the idle today, see if that helps? Replace fuel filter, but I am lost after that. I am very mechanically inclined but I've avoided working on cars my whole life, love rebuilding my kids race bikes & suspension, working on my boat, but I hate working on cars. But I suppose it's time. Any help here?
